PUA Mystery & The Mystery Method

I take it by the time you’re reading this article you’ve seen the TV show on MTV’s VH1 called “The Pick Up Artist” in that show you were introduced to one of the world’s greatest seducers, Mystery.

I have done a lot of research on this guy and have studied the topic of dating and seduction for a few years, so I think I’m a bit more qualified than most to write upon this topic.

Did you know that the PUA Mystery is considered as one of the most popular pickup artists alive today.

In fact, it’s been said he is the single BEST PUA of all time.

Now, I know that would sound a little crazy, but he is without a doubt one of the most influential people in the world of seduction.

He is also the one who taught Style, or Neil Strauss, the effective seduction method called the Mystery Method introduced in the New York Times Best Seller, “The Game: Penetrating The Secret Society of Pickup Artists.” Yes, this guy trained Style from being a total AFC who was too afraid of even talking to women (as he was balding and scrawny) to being a superstar who was able to pick up play boy bunnies, Britney Spears and other celebrities.

So as you can see, this guy is a GREAT teacher. Just look at the results and you’ll be convinced that he isn’t just talking out of his ass and his theories do work in real life.

Mystery, in real life, is called Erik Von Markovik. He was born on September 24, 1971 and, after being rejected countless time and through trial and error, created a very useful seduction method, which is what we know as the Mystery Method today.

What’s interesting to note that, before he got incredible success, he got rejected so many times he actually got used to it.

He is believed to be the first one to try magic tricks as a way of picking up girls. The reason for this was because he noticed everytime he was doing a magic trick girls would be interested in him. But as soon as he stopped, they would walk away. So eventually he was able to combine the two together to get some initial success.

Mystery open admitted that he was NOT t a natural when it came attracting women. He was actually a nerd and geek and had to learn the ropes of meeting and dating women the hard way – through rejection. But that was long in the past. Now, he has become one of the most famous dating coaches in the world and he has been featured both on the big screen and in books and magazines.

As mentioned earlier, Mystery is so popular in fact he was chosen as one of the main instructors in the show on VH1 called ‘The Pick Up Artist’. Here, Mystery taught and trained eight guys (who were hopeless with women) how to pickup girls in real life and turn into pickup artists LIVE – with cameras rolling in the background.

As a pioneer in the seduction and pick up community, Mystery has taught many gurus like Style (mentioned earlier), David DeAngelo, Tyler Durden and Papa (from the Real Social Dynamics), Sinn, and Nick Savoy among others.

If you have been reading a lot of seduction tips online and have encountered different terms, you should know that most of them were all created and popularized by Mystery. Examples of the PUA terms he made popular are:

IOI (Indicator of Interest),
PUA (Pickup Artist),
AMOG (Alpha Male Other Guy), and
DLV/DHV (Demonstrating Lower/Higher Value).

One of the popular and most effective seduction models called the M3 Mystery Method, originated largely from Mystery’s contributions. This model consists of three phases: attraction, comfort and seduction.

This is the seduction model that (then-student) Neil Strauss used to get pop star Britney Spear’s number, hook up with a Playboy bunny, and even get in a long relationship with a member of the Courtney Love’s band – Lisa Leverage.

Nowadays Mystery has ventured onto different things. He is now teaching his seduction methods using a different name after a falling out with a former student and business partner, Nick Savoy, who has released an ebook called Magic Bullets. Mystery now teaches his brand of the Mystery Method under a new name, called: Venusian Arts.

I have to say that it’s guys like the PUA Mystery and Neil Strauss who have brought dating and seduction into the attention of mainstream media. Without their contribution and input, guys like me would never have been able to experience the kind of success I am now enjoying with them. Seriously, my hat goes off to them because they not only stared rejection in the face, but embraced it – then came out triumphantly.

Thank you Mystery for showing the world the Mystery Method!
